A customer’s journey goes to new heights Lexus is breaking new ground by creating a new premium mode of transporting customers to their destination. LEXUS Flight is a new helicopter premium transport that combines the company’s values of high-quality hospitality, convenience and leading edge aviation technology. Lexus is collaborating with Aero Toyota Co., Ltd., to deliver an exclusive and seamless movement experience for users beyond the established Lexus brand as a form of luxury mobility that connects ground, air and water. Lexus announced its launch on July 31, 2026, with customer operations due to commence in Japan from August 24, 2026.

This new offering is the next chapter in Lexus’s “DISCOVER Imitate No One” experience. Unique to Lexus, the focus is on personalized experiences versus simply getting you from A to B. Travel time shouldn’t be a chore, but rather an enjoyable part of the more complete luxury experience. Lexus passengers will be able to pair chauffeur-driven Lexus vehicles, executive helicopter transportation and the LY680 flagship yacht together in a new ecosystem of connected mobility. The new LEXUS Helicopter, based on Leonardo’s Italian-manufactured AW169 platform, offers all-LED illuminated seven passenger cabin, high speed wi-fi, 4K high definition in-flight entertainment, and sophisticated passenger interface system.

1. Lexus Introduces LEXUS Flight to Expand Beyond Traditional Luxury Cars

Lexus is officially stepping into a new realm that isn’t centered on road transport, and its new plane will specifically serve luxury customers. The Japanese luxury car manufacturer has been testing out various ways to expand its brand image beyond premium cars over the years, and LEXUS Flight is a notable move along that path. Announced on July 31, 2026, by Lexus International, the new service will be operated by Aero Toyota Co., Ltd., with a dedicated aircraft known as the LEXUS Helicopter, with customer operations scheduled to launch on August 24, 2026, in Japan.

LEXUS Flight’s Introduction and Purpose:

  • Dedicated luxury helicopter transportation
  • Announced on July 31
  • Operated by Aero Toyota
  • Japanese operations begin August 24
  • Connects cities and resorts

LEXUS Flight is an extension of Lexus’ approach to reinventing itself as a mobility-focused luxury brand. It is not about exclusively building a better car it’s about designing an experience that immerses a customer in the Lexus ethos wherever that experience takes place. With the helicopter, Lexus is added a new mobility dimension for users who don’t want to sacrifice convenience and comfort. Lexus is looking to integrate the so-called ‘ground, air, and water’ experiences in a cohesive mobility platform that is designed to adapt to changing real-world use cases of premium consumers that are seeking an upgrade to luxury a complete experience rather than a car.

2. Lexus’s DISCOVER Philosophy Drives Its New Luxury Mobility Strategy

At the heart of LEXUS Flight lies the brand philosophy of “DISCOVER,” which at Japan Mobility Show 2025 was further refined into the slogan “DISCOVER Imitate No One.” This philosophy demonstrates Lexus’ determination to build unique experiences for each customer, and not simply follow the norms of the automotive industry. As the expectations of luxury evolve in tandem with increasingly varied lifestyles and desires, the car-maker hopes that the addition of helicopter transport will see Lexus further progress the brand’s identity into a new form of mobility. This effort will ensure the brand’s philosophy of providing exceptional experiences will be carried through regardless of whether you’re on the road or in the air.

The Philosophy Behind Lexus Flight:

  • DISCOVER brand philosophy
  • Expanded at Japan Mobility Show
  • Imitate No One message
  • Individual customer experiences
  • Luxury beyond conventional automobiles

Lexus aims to make transportation pleasurable, not just a necessary evil to get us there. Travel time is one thing that has historically been a fact of life for customers they’re stuck with it till they reach their destination. Now, by incorporating the journey into the Lexus Aero concept, Lexus and Aero Toyota are reversing that image, turning the trip itself into part of the total luxury package. At every step, Lexus intends to focus on your personal comfort and enjoyment, with streamlined, coordinated service. Whether chauffeur services to and from the airport or luxury helicopter flights, the goal is to make travel time pleasurable, not an inconvenience.

3. Lexus Connects Chauffeur-Driven Cars, Helicopters, and Luxury Yachts

A complete 360-degree mobility ecosystem designed for seamless travel across land, air and water. The experience can start with a Lexus chauffeur picking guests up from their starting point and transporting them to a heliport for boarding. From there, guests can make their way via the executive helicopter to efficiently reach the metropolis or resort destination. Customers can then continue onto the water by way of a LY680 luxury yacht. By combining the three modes of transportation, Lexus and Aero Toyota aim to create a synchronized travel experience that goes beyond traditional luxury vehicles. The goal is to ensure every transportation step is as easy, effortless and luxurious as Lexus owners have come to expect.

Lexus’s Three-Part Mobility Ecosystem:

  • Chauffeur-driven Lexus transportation
  • Executive helicopter connections
  • LY680 luxury yacht experiences
  • Integrated land and air
  • Connected marine transportation options

Ground transportation remains a vital element of the new system as the high-end experience is said to start well before the aircraft arrives. Chauffeur services with luxury Lexus cars are said to banish the pain of travelling out of town to the helicopter pad or get stuck in city centre gridlock. The cars are said to be quiet and luxurious, with harmonized interiors and a premium Lexus vibe that travels with customers from their homes to the helipad to the yacht seamless transition without any sense that the customers are leaving the brand’s comfort zone. By integrating ground cars, heli-pads and yachts, Lexus hopes to build a consistent new mobility experience.

4. Lexus Dealerships Support Its Luxury Automotive Experience on the Ground

These steps enter a new realm of mobility for the luxury automaker, as Lexus’s aerial offering extends the brand’s focus on-premise production cars, which are readily available to consumers through dealers. The company’s cars and trucks are exemplified in the United States at the Lexus of Greenville in South Carolina, which is among the more than 180 selling points distributed across South Carolina, in areas such as Greenville, Spartanburg, Greer, and other Upstate localities. The dealership’s showroom presents the 2026 Lexus lineup, which contains the Lexus RX 350 and the latest Lexus ES models, along with others that reinforce the company’s on-ground automotive legacy to support its broader mobility vision.

Lexus of Greenville Customer Services:

  • Located in South Carolina
  • Serves Greenville and Spartanburg
  • Features 2026 Lexus lineup
  • Complimentary Exclusive Lifetime Warranty
  • Financing and trade-in assistance

Lexus of Greenville maintains additional ownership benefits intended to assist its customers beyond their first vehicle purchase. An exclusive LLC exclusive lifetime warranty guarantees the vehicle for unlimited miles and time. Car shoppers may work with financing experts to find balanced financing solutions, pre-qualify for purchases and determine trade-in values at home. The dealership’s monthly financing specials give additional options to those interested in new or pre-owned Lexus models. 5. Lexus LS Concept Shows the Brand’s Ambition Beyond Conventional Vehicles

Lexus’s other demonstrations of alternative-vehicle formats are its trial concepts. The LS Concept, recently revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, takes the flagship luxury vehicle in a radically different direction from the standard four-wheel configuration of a passenger car. The LS Concept’s three-axle design offers two potential formats for future mobility, either as a six-wheeled luxury van, or as an autonomous pod. The adaptation reflects a desire to explore alternative lifestyles and changing customer needs, and encourages owners to take a fresh perspective on the luxury vehicle.

Lexus LS Concept Highlights:

  • Unveiled at Japan Mobility Show
  • Innovative six-wheel configuration
  • Reinterpreted flagship luxury sedan
  • Luxury van functionality
  • Autonomous pod possibilities

The LS Concept, meanwhile, emphasizes that thinking that underpins the move into multi-dimensional luxury mobility. The speculative design of the concept itself indicates that the automaker is open to vehicle formats other than the passenger car. It also points to a forward-looking approach that is receptive to adaptable solutions that could serve a variety of needs across multiple mobility scenarios. This way of thinking naturally flows into the LEXUS Flight programme, which adds an aerial dimension to the portfolio. The LS Concept extends the exploration of variations to ground-based mobility, while the helicopter service and the LY680 yacht add the air and water components, respectively.

6. Lexus Selects the Leonardo AW169 Executive Helicopter for LEXUS Flight

The aircraft we have in LEXUS Flight is the Leonardo AW169, an executive twin-engine helicopter built in Italy. The AW169 was chosen as the helicopter to be used exclusively by Lexus for its aviation operations due to the construction quality and comfort of its aviation engineering. With dimensions of 14.65 meters long, 3.21 meters wide, and 4.56 meters tall, the AW169 is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers in its executive cabin configuration, twin-engine design, and wide fuselage which stands at the core of Lexus new aerial transportation experience, pairing the brand’s existing luxury design ethos with dedicated helicopter transportation.

Leonardo AW169 Aircraft Specifications:

  • Italian-manufactured executive helicopter
  • 14.65 meters long
  • 3.21 meters wide
  • 4.56 meters high
  • Seven-passenger seating capacity

The LEXUS Helicopter utilizes twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A1 turboshaft engines. The engine combination allows a maximum cruise speed of 267km/h and an effective flight range of 785km. In addition to linking major city centers with attractive holiday destinations, no stops for refuelling are necessary within its indicated range. In addition to backup flight functionality, the use of twin engines also allows for the replacement of engines under varying flying conditions. These aircraft specifications form the backbone of the aviation technology of LEXUS Flight, enabling Lexus to provide a private transportation experience that combines executive helicopter features with the convenience and relaxation of Lexus’ premium brand.

7. Lexus Helicopter Features Exclusive Exterior Styling and a Seven-Seat Luxury Cabin

The LEXUS Helicopter is equipped with a specialized exterior design that was carefully crafted to portray the premium flair of the Lexus brand. Lexus ‘signature’ exterior finish, in deep red combined with black paint, ensures a head-turning visual on airport helipads. The aircraft has the Lexus mark across the main fuselage and tail section for brand visibility, as it becomes one of the luxury brand’s new transportation assets. Its exterior finish sets the helicopter apart from a typical executive aircraft and visually aligns it with the Lexus brand. Lexus had in mind that its aerial fleet should have an iconic brand look that matches its luxury cars.

LEXUS Helicopter Design Features:

  • Distinctive red and black exterior
  • Prominent Lexus branding
  • Customized executive aircraft appearance
  • Seven-seat passenger configuration
  • Lexus-inspired cabin craftsmanship

Within the cabin it has seven seats tailored for comfort, ergonomic profile, acoustic comfort and space. The shapes and textures of the cabin’s interior surfaces echo similar design cues in the latest Lexus ES4 that was launched earlier this year. It has a corporate, clean look in the interior, but also continues with the sort of typical hospitality Lexus is known for taking into the air. Lexus wants passengers to feel like they are in a consistent environment when going from its luxury road cars into the helicopter. By applying the design language used for its luxury vehicles into the aircraft, it hopes to communicate its premium brand identity all the way from the ground to the air.

Keeping everyone comfortable and connected and comfortable are important factors in the LEXUS Flight experience. The Leonardo AW169 helicopter includes onboard high speed Wi-Fi access and a tablet control interface. Through this system, passengers are able to access cabin climate controls, ambient lighting, and a view of their live flight path and exterior camera feeds without manual intervention. This means that your cabin will be a comfortable, relaxing environment with no compromise on the modern executive flight experience you’re used to enjoying when traveling with LEXUS.

LEXUS Helicopter Technology Features:

  • Integrated passenger tablet interface
  • Adjustable cabin climate controls
  • Customizable ambient lighting settings

Passengers will also be able to surf the internet and watch shows or movies on the mini-tablet that is provided onboard for their entertainment. The convenience of these new digital systems further displays how Lexus is working to bring the features available in its larger luxury cars to its smaller, airbourne transportation options. Anyone who is used to their current luxury car being an extension of their digital lifestyle will find the new helicopter cabin allows them the same experience. Access to the Wi-Fi network, touchscreen options on the consoles, streaming of entertainment content, and viewing of camera feeds will all allow for a personalized digital experience on the helicopter.

9. Lexus Connects Its Helicopter Service With the LY680 Luxury Yacht

LEXUS Flight is not just all about road and air transportation now Lexus is taking its world of luxury mobility one step further to nautical transportation. For those clients who love boating and want to travel in luxury style on the open sea, they are developing its flagship luxury yacht the LY680 which is set to launch for sale in 2024. As a yacht, the Lexus design language and high levels of luxury are all expressed, but now connected to a triad of related transport options, the luxury yacht would be linked by executive helicopter flights in the sky and chauffeur-driven automobiles for a consistent Lexus customer experience across land, sea, and air.

Lexus’s Marine Mobility Offering:

  • LY680 flagship luxury yacht
  • Introduced in 2024
  • Designed for maritime enthusiasts
  • Connected helicopter transportation
  • Integrated luxury travel experience

The LY680 introduces marine travel to the wider transport idea supporting LEXUS Flight. Customers can switch from chauffeur-driven cars, to executive helicopter trips, to luxury yacht travels. As ultra-premium customers begin to increasingly demand more than a discrete luxury purchase, rather than a seamless customer experience through each step of their journey, Lexus plans to make sure that all parts of a trip are purposeful, comfortable and in keeping with the brand’s hospitality standards. The addition of marine transportation also signals the automotive company is investigating opportunities outside of its core automotive business.
