Porsche’s 1000-HP Electric Speedster Reimagines a Legend

The Stuttgart-based brand did not simply celebrate the 75 th anniversary by hosting a party, but they reinvented automotive celebration. The highlight? Porsche had already given out the enthusiasts with the Vision 357 coupe, the sleek reference to the 356, which had a Cayman GT4 RS engine. However, with only two concept cars as Michael Mauer, VP of Style Porsche, said, there can only be two. The roofless version, the Speedster, is meant to be all joy in open air driving. It is not a convertible per se–it is a radical interpretation of the Spirit of the Speedster, where emphasis is put on being simple, fast and not on the filter between them and the road.

The Vision 357 Speedster is a work of minimalism and luxury. Its form is elegant and curvy and has never unnecessary angles to break the shape. Two-tone scheme of the Marble Grey with Grivelo Grey Metallic is a reference to the old race cars and Miami Blue accents put a contemporary and playful accent on it. The rear wheels are even decorated with unicorn designs, which portray the humour and the artistic touch of the designers. In qualifying mode, it produces an outrageous 1,073 horsepower, and even the so-called race mode has 604 horsepower over the long term.
