The introduction of the Dodge Charger Daytona was to bring a paradigm change to the performance cars of the world. Since decades Dodge established its reputation based on the roaring V8 engines and raw muscle strength, advancing to the electric future was bound to be a daring and dangerous step to take. The Charger Daytona was not merely another EV but it was presented as an electric muscle car that would be able to continue the legacy without losing its soul.

It is a transition that is accompanied by a lot of pressure. The devotees are demanding the same emotional appeal, performance excitement, and dependability like the previous generations. Simultaneously, the market of electric vehicles requires innovative software, sophisticated design, and smooth user experience. It is not easy to strike a balance between the two worlds and more so when a brand is venturing into this segment.

Since there were early adopters who started accepting delivery, the story soon grew complicated. Rather than gradual evolution, numerous owners began exchanging experiences that bring out a blend of thrill, disappointment and apprehension. A supposedly revolutionary launch is now under close scrutiny as a real world experiment of whether Dodge can survive in the rapidly changing auto environment.
