The variety extends to aircraft designed to aid training, aerobatics, and special operations while fulfilling a variety of other purposes. Aircraft manufacturers strive for diversity and specialisation to ensure that their products meet the industry needs while being fit for purpose.

1. Narrow-Body Jets

Narrow-body jets, otherwise known as single-aisle jets, comprise the majority of commercial aircraft worldwide. In fact, approximately 60% of all commercial aircraft are narrow-body jets. 2. Wide-Body Jets

These jets can carry 4-6 passengers and weigh less than 10,000 pounds, so they have access to airports that are unavailable to other large business jets. VLJs are the preferred option for local and regional business travel.

With a range of 1,000 nautical miles, these jets offer an affordable option for people looking to avoid the limitations and expenses of traditional large business jets. VLJs offer an alternative to traditional business jets that operate from major commercial airports.

An additional advantage of VLJs is that they can be flown by a single pilot compared to two or more pilots for other business jets. While it may still be expensive to charter a VLJ, it becomes a much more convenient option when nobody wants to fly commercial airlines because of a lack of direct flights. This advantage is further amplified by the fact that a VLJ can be operated from a local airport nearby the destination rather than a major commercial airport that can be several hours away.

7. Single-Engine Piston Trainers

Single-engine piston aircraft are the backbone of general aviation and flight training. These reliable aircraft serve as flight trainers for thousands of pilots each year and allow people to access general aviation. Cessna 172 Skyhawk is the most produced aircraft in the world and is ideal for general aviation activities.

Remote areas tend to experience limited access to infrastructure and transportation options compared to urban areas. 10. Autogyros

Autogyros are similar to helicopters in some ways but differ in other ways. Unlike helicopters, autogyros have rotors that rotate freely in the air and require a forward thrust to provide lift. The rotor provides lift, whereas the propeller at the front provides forward thrust. Compared to helicopters, autogyros are relatively simple in terms of design and offer many potential applications.
