Inspections and walnut blasting will remove carbon deposits around the 60k mark for example to free up the intake.

A certain range of early 2021 and 2022 Smartstream 2.5L engines may experience oil consumption due to thermal expansion of engine parts as they get hot during operation. The oil can sometimes work its way past the piston rings and enter the combustion chamber.
