GM EV1 was announced in 1997 as an experimental electric vehicle. EV1’s production was part of a global initiative to develop transport with zero emissions. Mondial 8 was an unfulfilling experience for those who wanted to witness the beginning of a new era in Ferrari automobiles.

4. Smart Fortwo

Smart Fortwo was conceived as a car for city streets with limited parking space. Being a subcompact car, it has a footprint of only 57 percent of today’s average car. The model is the result of Daimler’s efforts to create a vehicle that could solve urban transportation problems. Smart Fortwo truly was something special and stood out from regular traffic with its unique design.

It featured a straightforward powertrain and was easy to maintain, being a great value for the money. The subcompact was popular among many for being affordable and performed reasonably well for its price.
